Team Bodog pro, Justin Bonomo, is undeniably psyched about the Texas Hold em contest. Over the course of his poker playing career, the 23 year old has won about $1.4 million. He says that if you had the idea that the first poker championship was a good one, you will definitely be stunned with this year’s tournament and the prize money involved. There will be six bounty eliminatories and seven “Championship Events”, which have higher buy-ins and deeper stacks.
In the tournament will be thirteen games which will lead up to the main event on Sunday, October 5 at 4:00 p.m. E.S.T. This is the championship with a guaranteed $300,000 in cold hard cash, regardless of the number of players in the Bodog Open. All the competors who decide to enter the main poker event will have to shell out $500 for the buy-in and in turn will collect 10,000 in Bodog poker chips.
